As a part of the programme of Grafist 22: Istanbul Graphic Design Days (16 April - 11 May 2018), Offshore Studio, the Zurich-based design practice which has designed the visual identity of the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial (22 September - 4 November 2018), will conduct a “Poster Development and Application” workshop on 9-11 May 2018. The workshop invites all students, learners, scholars and young designers who have studied graphic design on Bachelor level for at least two years.

The workshop will provide participants the opportunity of working in cooperation in order to develop the visual identity system of the biennial, complementing the learning process that is the biennial itself. Offshore Studio will lead the process, guiding participants through individual and group feedback/mentoring sessions.

The workshop aims to encourage and challenge participants towards pushing their own conceptual and aesthetic boundaries while developing posters that would be incorporated into the visual identity designed by Offshore Studio. The design process within the workshop will require and sharpen the skills of the students in the fields of art direction, image-making and composition.
